About this site
Alexis' Girl Talk Radio was founded in Oct. 2004 by me, your host Alexis. It was inspired by Brynn Baker, a fellow student at Purdue University who thought that I should have my own radio show. It was originally at the home of Facebook.com but because of privacy and a lot of unnecessary confusion, it was pulled from the site by me. However, after sitting in the beauty shop over Chrismas break, I was compelled to bringing Girl Talk back from the dead. I hope you enjoy this site where we are able to do many more things and feel free to speak your mind. Welcome to Alexis' Girl Talk Radio!!

Greetings Ladies
Why is it that I find that most of us are so pre-occupied with all of the "what if's" that we not recognize something can be toxic for us? We are so worried about what if he is the one for me? What if I can change him? What if I changed this about myself, he would like me more? Yada, yada, yada. Dear ladies, we can’t change things that aren’t meant to be changed. Because you were who you were in the first place, that attracted him to you. Don’t be concerned with if this person is the one for you because time will eventually tell. If a person is able to stand by you through thick and thin, fat and skinny, and all the other trials and tribulations of relationships – then he is the one for you. Most people in life don’t find their soul mates until later on in life when people actually have the time to nurture and develop their relationships. Relationships first and foremost must start out with excellent friendships, and if that bond is built correctly then “let no man put asunder”. Relationships are just like flowers. You have to plant the seeds in the right type of soil for it to grow. You have to water, give it enough lighting, re-plant it in a different pot, etc. Once that flower begins to grow and you have done of the listed above, that flower can live and grow forever. Similar to relationships, if you have a true genuine friendship with someone, you’ve learned that person, adapted to their behaviors and have recognized the things that irritate you about that person so that you’re not easily angered by their flaws. I sincerely believe that the #1 reason for all failure in relationships is because we don’t take the time to properly develop them. We are all in a SUCH a hurry and move too fast and then we look up somewhere down the line with tears in our eyes wondering where we went wrong. WE ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR OUR OWN HAPPINESS! If you don’t feel as though something is going the way you think it should be going, don’t go along with it because you don’t want to loose that person… tell them. And if they can’t feel where you’re coming from, then maybe that person just is not the one for you.
Stay tuned for, “Let’s wait a while,”….
God is love... love ya much!!
